We begin our Live blog experience, using an iPod Touch 1.1.4 we will jailbreak it using the new software iLiberty +.
Step 1: Download iLiberty
You can download iLiberty from here, or Mirror 1, or Mirror 2
Step 2: Install Software
Once downloaded, extract the contents of zip files on our desktop. We will find a file. Exe that we must execute. Through Wizard installation, we will be able to complete the installation:

Step 3: Ready to Jailbreak
When you lunch the application you will see a screen like this
To Jailbreak an iPod Touch, select Jailbreak and Setup Installer, and if we want to jailbreak an iPhone, it is necessary to select Jailbrek, Activate, Unlock, Setup Installer. Then click on the button “Go for it!”
Having already connected the iPod, a pop-up screen Message alerts me to remove the cable from your computer and again, then press OK
Recently completed this action iLiberty starts working. The first action is to put the iPod in recovery mode (mode). The window shows us that the operation may take some time and may not succeed, but in that case, we receive more information later.
Being very unlucky, I was almost assured that in my case it will fail, and then appeared other instructions, which asked to choose between three different options:
1) Try to enter the booting automatically in recovery mode through iLiberty
2) Put the iPod in recovery mode manually, by pressing a button on the home and the power button
3) to cancel the operation
decide to opt for choice number 2, to do everything manually.
Once in recovery mode, I then clicked the button Boot Ramdisk, and the we see the usual fast written white on black screen, with the typical method of release of George Hotz (gUnlock). Towards the end, the writing is a little different than what we are accustomed to seeing with ZiPhone it first appears claims to authors and then you can see that the program attempts PayLoads if we had selected them. during this fact being installed everything, and I advise you to use the following PayLoads: Installer; Relocate Fonts Ringtones and in order not to have problems “crash” of the Installer, due to the fact that the space available on the first partition is done, and then avoid having to also install BossTool; OpenSSH to communicate with its iPod / wifi iPhone in with his own computer, and BSD Subsystem which is essential for the functioning of almost all applications. The latter two should be installed by hand, then you need to first go here: http://iliberty.zjlotto.com/Payloads/, download files, and get them to the root where it was installed iLiberty!
At this point began my problems, because after the ipod was nailed on apple logo, while office, and you hear the sound you restart the iPod, but remains blocked well. I repeated the operation, but getting the same result.
So I just finished restore the firmware via itunes 1.1.4 (by placing the ipod manually in recovery mode). And ‘try iLiberty hours! Launch of the new programme, we select Jailbreak Installer and Setup, then by PayLoads re-select the installer and relocate Fonts and ringtones, and click the button Go for it!
After about a minute, the operation has been completed at its best, the iPod is back to light in the relevant installer! Everything went so well! I have deliberately avoided install OpenSSH and BSD Subsystem, to try to install them later. So now beginning to probe whether all people with iPods already unlocked with other methods, may use Payloads that iLiberty gives us.
By downloading BSD Subsystem, the link proposed by the program, we see the first major Bug .. The link is invalid! The same Open For SSH! However, I found the version 2.1 BSD to another and then hosting for download, can be found here. A download finished, moved to zip in “C: / Program / iLiberty / payload /” and refreshate the Advanced screen. BSD Subsystem become selectable, and we can proceed with the installation. This time hold only selected Jailbreak and not Setup Installer
Everything went well, ultimately we can say that iLiberty is a truly innovative program that hides many useful features and never really seen before, apart from the like that has happened with my first iPod, consider the best currently existing . He still needs some jobs, as adjust links to download payloads for example, and perhaps increase in written warnings on the screen. After this trial live, where we met some hastily application, since I did not know at all, you will find short schematizzato another post, with all the useful links, and basic concepts that must run in the right order.
