As we suggested a few hours ago, WinPwn 2.0 was released and is available for download. Follow the simple steps below to create your own custom firmware and then unlock your device.
Supports:
- WinPwn 2.0 supports both firmware 1.1.4 and 2.0
- WinPwn can be used on EDGE iPhone, iPod Touch and iPhone 3G
- Supports Boot and Restore Images
- Supports for custom Payload.
Requirements:
- Original Firmware for our devices: iPhone/iPod/3G
- WinPwn 2.0
- iTunes 7.7
- The Bootloaders 3.9 and 4.6
Guide:
1. The Firmware 2.0 requires iTunes 7.7 for it to work, then as a first step, install this update, if you have an earlier version of the software.

2. Uninstall WinPwn 1.0.0.3 RC1 if you have it installed, then proceed with the installation of WinPwn 2.0.
3. First of all we need to create a custom firmware, So we have to launched WinPwn 2.0, click on “Browse. Ipsw”, choose the firmware from your PC, then click on “IPSW Builder” and select options that will then customize your custom firmware.
4. When you finish creating the custom firmware click the iPwner button and select the 2.0 custom firmware that you have just created. This process will perform a Pwn on iTunes, which will allow flashing custom firmware in DFU mode;
5. Put the iPhone / iPod in DFU mode: connect with the cable to your computer and turn it off. At the same time click on the button Home + power for 10 Seconds. At the end of 10 seconds, release the power button and continue to press the Home button for another 10 seconds.
6. iTunes will detect a device connected in recovery mode and then pressing SHIFT key and click the Restore button and select the custom 2.0 Firmware we reated with WinPwn.
After a few minutes you’ll have a iPhone / iPod Touch jailbroken unlocked and activated . In the case of a 3G iPhone however, this will be Activated and Jailbroken. The installer is not yet present, all those who have updated following our guide and use our Custom firmware 2.0 and the old WinPwn does not need to re do this with this new software, because you already have the latest firmware available, released activated and running.
iTunes keeps giving me 1600 and 1601 errors, finally I got a usb connect to iTunes logo and nothing else, phone ended up bricked. I had to do a full restore from original ipsw and now I’m too peeved to try it again. how do we fix the 1600/1601 errors?
you did not put phone in DFU mode. DFU mode is different than restore mode. DFU mode will show screen black and your computer will recognize it. To put it in DFU hold power and home for exactly 10 seconds. at 10 seconds let go oh the power and keep holding home until your pc recognizes it. Yes keep it plug in to your pc and kill ituneshelper process.
i followed all the steps with no problems but my phone doesnt seem to get any reception. I reinstalled firmware 2.0 again and i had reception but when i installed the custom firmware i still have no reception. Any ideas on wat i can do to fix this?

Thank you for the post of Winpwn Guide! However, I’m a newbie to all these unlock softwares, can you please help to explain more since I bought my 1st gen iPhone is already unlocked with firmware 1.1.3 and I dont know which software they used to unlock it. Please advise!

hey everyone even the dev team i figured out the error (1600) and how to fix i dont have a camera so i cant put on youtube but this is the fix.
If your iphone is bricked on the 2.0 slide for emergency page after trying to do the restore in dfu mode then u need to look at a youtube video to downgrade to 7.5 or 7.6 itunes to downgrade ur iphone to 1.1.4 then u will see the error saying that u need 7.7 itunes iphone to use thats ok when u have this.B/C all u need is it to say this now put it in dfu mode then restore to the 1.1.4 firmware bc it will fail at least it did for me then if not then put your iphone back into dfu either way so ur iphone is in the 1.1.4 dfu mode not 2.0 dfu mode to do this just hold your home button then plug in to your dock or your usb cable and wait until iphone is in dfu mode i might be wrong about what mode its in but either way make sure ur iphone is in the mode where it wants to connect to itunes only 1.1.4 though bc if its not on the 1.1.4 connect to itunes this wont work then hold shift and click restore if on a (pc) or hold alt and click restore if on a (mac) and restore to ur custom 2.0 firmware u built then it should work if tested this 12 times ever time i did this and put it in 1.1.4 dfu mode it worked so just do this and it will work have any problems respond to klaus385385@yahoo.com thx. this works for both mac ipwner and winpwn 2.0
Does this process delete anything off my iPhone (songs, apps, contacts, etc.)?

unleased do you have a iphone contract if you do make it custom with only cydia check and activate with iTunes

I need help with this man, I have Winpwn 2.3 installed and whenever I build the custom ispw it crashes at the end of the process, not allowing me to pwn my iTunes. I have read that this problem should not occur with
Y current version of Winpwn. Is this a big problem and do you think it will be ironed out with the up coming 2.5?
