The iPhone Dev Team released the new softwares to unlock, activate and jailbreak the new 2.2 firmware. You can use QuickPwn 2.2 on iPhone EDGE, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 1G (not 2G).

Note:

They suggest to use QuickPwn for iPhone 3G factory unlocked. You should use PwnageTool 2.2 to jailbreak your iPhone 3G without a factory-unlock, to prevent the baseband update and the future unlocks

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY IPHONE 3G, I TRIED TO UPGRADE TO VERSION 2.2 AND NOW ON MI PHONE APPEAR A CABLE USB UMPLUGGED OF THE ITUNES AND IN THE ITUNES STORE IT DOESN’T APPEAR MY PHONE.

I NEED U HELP PLEASE.

I have seen your posting regarding the 2.2 update over in the italian section.
Too bad I understand the meaning but can’t wright in italian myself (I’m italian, born and live in switzerland but my italian is just bad - I now it’s a shame ) .. anyways:
Will you guys post a custom 2.2 firmware like you did for 2.1? We windoze user would highly appreciate it!

Hi sniper. It’s the same for my english : very baaaad lol.

Try to use google translate since i don’t know (at this moment) another good site in english with these guides.

The devteam suggests to use QuickPwn so i don’t know if i will post the custom firmware.. Maybe i will post the one for the iPhone 3G withouth the baseband upgrade. Do you need this one?

Andres: i haven’t understand if you are unable to go to 2.2 or if you have this problem after 2.2 upgrade

Andres hold down the power and the home button it should reboot again or if that doesn’t work try unpluging the USB cabel hold down the home button then reconnect wile still holding the home button connect back to the pc wala it should re appear in iTunes

Yes exactly, a custom firmware for 3G without a baseband upgrade. That would be NiiiCE
(For my iPod (1.Gen) I’ll use QuickPwn.)

Ps: I understand almost everything on your italian site the point is I absolutely can not write Italian

I upgraded to 2.2 but the problem is I didn’t have any service or network on the phone. The Jailbreak worked fine though.

I downgraded to 2.1 but I got an error 1013 and it was stuck on the USB to ITunes screen and nothing is working since yet.

Help would be appreciated.

I just got things working on my 3g with ver2.1,and I have a ton of apps and games in, does this mean I will lose everything and have to start over again if I upgrade to 2.2?

I upgraded to 2.2 all worked good.I restore from back up the problem is I didn’t have any signal (no service. It worked for 5 seconds and disapper.Can you help please.

damn I want google streetview also for the ipod touch! why did they only do it for the iphones? i dont understand that… maybe its an idea for a app on cydia? or i dont know if it is so easy…
