Dock is an application that will allow you to launch an application without going to the home screen and take a snapshot of your screen. You can find Dock under System categories in Installer.

When you install the Dock application it will reside in the bottom-right corner of your screen disguised as a sunburst and it will activate when you move your finger to the sunburst corner allowing you to launch an application or make a screen shoot.
